A New Year

We're past the winter solstice hump and daylight is slowly staying around longer. 2007 has released its grip to 2008. Winter, so far, has been mild and almost no snow has fallen. Fingers crossed we'll survive this cold season without too much snow shoveling and wood burning.

At Fridhem, Natalie is packing on the pounds and experiencing different foods with her two new front teeth. Amelie is reenacting the story of Cinderella every day in between painting her masterpieces. Dean recently returned from a working trip to Georgia and Azerbaijan and Zandra started work with a new ad agency client in Trånas. Mumu refuses to rid the house of a field mouse that has decided to keep warm in the house for the winter.

The past year ended with Dean exhibiting a documentary photo project at a local gallery; Oma coming to visit for Natalie's baptism; James Brock visiting for Christmas and taking Dean on a short trip to Barcelona; celebrating a fun Christmas eve with Natalie and Amelie making off with the most presents; and hosting a New Year's Eve party with family from Boxholm and friends from Stockholm, New York and Sarasota.

Idyllically nestled in the Swedish countryside and miles removed from the confines of urban madness, Noby Fridhem is where the deer and moose go to play. Fresh berries and chantarelles sprout from the forest floors and the night skies sparkle with stars of our Milky Way galaxy.
